Y-Lego Quantum Project
Excellence Award · 2025
Built on quantum computing education, this project used LEGO bricks to visually demonstrate the core principles and algorithms of quantum computers, aiming to make quantum computing more approachable to a general audience.

The two foundational concepts — quantum entanglement and quantum superposition — were told through the playful metaphor of a pinball machine and a Goldberg machine. A pinball machine (representing superposition) and an observation-driven Goldberg machine (representing entanglement) were mounted back-to-back: two small marbles, representing quantum particles, are dropped on the front while one large marble, representing an observation, is dropped on the back — all at the same time — to visually convey how observing one entangled particle instantly determines the state of the other.
